Binh Dinh is located on the coast of Central Vietnam and is divided in four clear-cut regions: highlands, midlands, plains, and coast. It is bordered by Quang Ngai to the north, Phu Yen to the south, the East Sea to the east, and Gia Lai to the west. Binh Dinh is 1,655 km from Hanoi and is accessible either by car, train, or plane. The main ethnic groups in this area are the Kinh, Ba Na, Lo, and Cham. The annual average temperature varies between 26 and 28°C.

Special products of the province: silk, swallow nest, shrimp, fish, precious wood, vegetable oil, rice, marble, titanium, and handicraft articles. Binh Dinh is also the home of old folk opera, and Bai Choi folk songs.

The many historical sites include the Cham Tower, Duong Long Tower, Doi Tower, and Quang Trung Museum. The region also offers plenty of beautiful landscapes such as Quy Hoa, Hoi Van, Thi Nai Lowland, and Ham Mo Springs.

Transport: Qui Nhon is 174km from Quang Ngai, 186km from Pleiku, 223km from Buon Ma Thuot, 238km from Nha Trang, 304km from Danang and 677km from Ho Chi Minh City.
Air: Flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Qui Nhon four times a week, flight between Danang and Qui Nhon twice a week. Phu Cat Airport is 36km north of Qui Nhon.
Train: Qui Nhon Train Station is 1km north-west of the city centre (near the intersection with Le Hong Phong St.), Tel: 822 036. The Thong Nhat Express Trains stop at Lieu Tri Train Station, 10km from the city.
Bus: Qui Nhon Bus Station is opposite 543 Tran Hung Dao St., Tel: 822 246.
The Express Bus Station is at 14 Nguyen Hue St., Tel: 822 172. There are buses departing to Buon Ma Thuot, Dalat, Danang, Dong Hoi, Hanoi, Hue, Nha Trang, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Vinh, and Ho Chi Minh City. The tickets are sold from 6.30 am to 5 pm.
